Church Fundraising with an Autograph Auction
Looking to raise money for your church, synagogue or other place of worship?
(I use the term "church" the most in this article just because it's the easiest).
One of the most fun and effective ways to raise money for your church is with a celebrity autograph auction. Simply write to a bunch of religious leaders in your denomination and ask for an autographed book, photos, CD, etc. and then hold a church celebrity autograph auction.
Our "Celebrity Fundraising Success Kit" resource walks you through everything from asking for autographed items from religious figures to holding the celebrity autograph auction at your church.
This is a great way to raise money for your church!
Look what this person had to say about his church fundraising efforts:
"I ordered the Celebrity Black Book back in September. It's amazing. I picked 41 celebrities and wrote a letter that was the same for each celebrity. The secretary at the church that I belong to made copies of the letter and then I mailed the letters.
Six days after I mailed the letters, I received some items in the mail at the church. SIX DAYS. Since then, I have received more items in the mail from different celebrities. Anything that I receive in the mail goes for a silent auction at a fundraiser at my church except for one of the items, which I was allowed to keep for myself.
Here is just a partial list of the items that I have received:
1. 4 Dvd's from the Gaither Music Company
2. Personally autographed copy of Pat Robertson's autobiography (Shout It from the Housetops)
3. Zig Ziglar's book - "Confessions of a Grieving Christian"
4. Personally autographed copy of Max Lucado's book - ( A Christmas Child - The Story of Coming Home)
5. Billy Graham's book - "Unto the Hills - a Daily Devotional book
6. 2 personally autographed books from Rick Warren called "Purpose Drive Life"
7. Personally autographed copy of Michael W. Smith's "Worship" cd
8. Personally autographed photo of country music superstar Alan Jackson (The preacher of the church that I belong to told me I was allowed to keep the photo).
Sincerely,
Tim Delong
